A 1992 graduate of the University of Michigan, John later attended the Valparaiso University School of Law and graduated with his law degree in 1995.

Shortly thereafter, John and his wife relocated to Wyoming and he was admitted to the Wyoming State Bar in April, 1996.

John worked in private practice in Thermopolis, Cody and later accepted a position with the Wyoming State Public Defender in Rawlins. John notes that it was a great honor to have known, and worked with, the late Ken Koski while at the Public Defender's Office.

In late 1997 John accepted an offer to serve as a Deputy County Attorney in Park County, Wyoming for then County Attorney Michelle Marker.

In 1999 John relocated to Sweetwater County to work with the Sweetwater County Attorney's Office. Later, in 2002, he returned to Michigan and worked in the Prosecuting Attorney's Office in Genesee County (Flint), Michigan.

While in Genesee County John served under David Layton and worked in the warrant, juvenile, drug and felony trial units.

John and his wife are pleased to return to Sweetwater County with their dog, Shasta (a Rock Springs native), where John works as the Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the Sweetwater County Attorney's Office.
