This is a general checklist. Many schools, government facilities and businesses have a crisis management plan in place. To find out if your entity has a plan in place, contact the administration. - Remain Calm
- Make a mental note of as many of the following things as possible:
- Date of incident
- Time of incident
- Location of incident
- Any witnesses - names if they are known by you - physical description if you don't know them.
- Physical description of the person committing the act including, sex, height, approximate weight, hair color, eye color, build, skin tone, any distinguishing features like scars or tattoos.
- Any accent the person had
- The exact wording of any threat made
- What weapons or explosives the person committing the act said they had or were using.
- Do what you are told - Don't make waves - Don't try to be a hero.
