If you are expecting a person to return at a specific time and they have not, you should contact County Dispatch at 307-922-5320 or 307-872-3870.
Provide the dispatcher with as much information as you can about the missing person or persons. This information would include:
- Reporting Party Name.
- Reporting Party Callback Number and Location.
- Missing Person's Name.
- Where the missing person departed from.
- Person's Estimated Time of Departure.
- Person's Estimated Time of Arrival if Known.
- What Vehicle they were in, if any, and a description of it, including color and license plate number if possible.
- Route.
- Number of people missing.
- Physical description of all people involved.
- Any further information you feel would be of value to the person taking the report .
Sweetwater County Search and Rescue will take action to locate and/or rescue the person or persons. You may be needed for further information and Search and Rescue will want to notify you when the person is located or rescued, so please be sure to let them know where you can be found. Remember, when you leave your home you should always let someone else know where you are going, the route you will be taking, and when you expect to return so someone will know to look for you should something happen
