Inmate Visitation Procedures
Effective January 6, 2014
Three (3) video visitation stations are installed at the Detention Center for use by the public.  The video visitation stations provide access to request and schedule inmate visits and will be used by the public to visit with inmates.  This procedure replaces the visitation booths once used by the facility

Visits can also be scheduled by accessing the Telmate system via the Internet at or at one of the visitation kiosks at the Detention Center.  Each inmate will be allowed three (3) no-charge 30-minute visits per week.  the public must use the visitation stations at the facility in order to take advantage of the no-charge (free) visitation option.  In addition, a maximum of two (2) visitors may be present at the time using the visitation station.

Additional on-site visitation time may be scheduled, but anything more than three (3) per week will be charged at the Telmate rate of $7.50 per half hour (30 minute) period.  Any other visitation rules may be referenced in the Telmate brochure, by calling 1-866-516-0115, or by accessing the Telmate website at .

Visitation with inmates may be scheduled by friends and family or by the inmate using the Telmate system.  All visits must be accepted and approved by the individual inmate.  Visitors are strongly encouraged schedule visits at least 24 hours in advance.

Visitation can be scheduled between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM, between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM, or between 9:00 PM and 9:30 PM any day of the week.  (All times are Mountain Standard Time)  The only hours not available for visitation are used to allow staff to dispense medications.  Lights Out occurs between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM every day to allow for adequate rest for inmates.

Facility policy in place prior to January 6, 2014 regarding which inmates earn visitation privileges will be followed.  This means that individual inmates may not be allowed visitation due to schedule conflicts with other commitments within the facility, such as court appearances or special service visits, or if inmates have been subjected to some sort of disciplinary action for rules violations within the facility.

As a reminder, note that remote visitation may be scheduled and carried out using a computer with Internet access and equipped with speakers and a camera,  The Telmate fee schedule for this service is available at the Telmate website.
